Want your own little bit of the Oscars?

posted in: Shaun Tan | 21

Shaun Tan is an author/illustrator we love at Playing by the book. Although I’ve only reviewed one of his books here, The Arrival, it is one of my all time favourite books, and if I were a woman of unlimited means it is probably the children’s book I would gift with abandon: It’s a book that everyone should read.

Another of Tan’s books, The Lost Thing, has been made into a short animated film, which was recently nominated for an Oscar in the best Short Film (Animated) category, alongside another book inspired animation, that of The Gruffalo.

A week today we’ll find out if The Lost Thing does become an Oscar winner but in the mean time you could try your luck at winning your own copy of the The Lost Thing picture book on which the animation is based.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this post to be in with a chance of winning 🙂

Shaun Tan is great. We already have some of his books. This would be a great addition.
