Yes! YOU could get to see Patrick Ness, Malorie Blackman, Michael Morpurgo, Korky Paul, Mick Inkpen, David Melling, Annabel Pitcher, Liz Pichon, Gill Lewis, Kali Stileman, Chris Wormell, Jim Kay, Sharon Rentta and Morris Gleitzman amongst other authors and illustrators at the Red House Children’s Book Award Ceremony on February 18th.
I have two sets of two tickets each to giveaway – simply leave a comment here on this post to be in with a chance. The award ceremony is in London, at the Southbank Centre. Unfortunately the prize does not include travel to the ceremony, only tickets for the ceremony itself. The ceremony is best suited for children 7+ and their grownups, but if you win a pair of tickets and don’t have any children of your own to bring or to borrow, please feel free to bring a friend.
You can find out more about the Red House Children’s Book Award here.
The giveaway is open to anybody who can get to London for the ceremony and you can enter until 6am Tuesday January 31st.
Just leave a comment saying hi on this post to be in with a chance.
Please enter only once (but feel free to tweet about the giveaway using something like “Win tickets to star-studded children’s book award ceremony in London over at @playbythebook http://bit.ly/wNbuGy“).
Winners will be chosen at random using random.org.
Good luck! And I look forward to meeting whoever wins the tickets at the ceremony 🙂

Wow! Gosh, I would REALLY like this. I don’t know which of my 4 children I’d take – maybe we’ll have a raffle. Or maybe the eldest, who is in the middle of GCSEs – that would be a brilliant cheer up thing to do.

Hello,
I’m a book mad parent (also a picture book writer and illustrator) with a book mad daughter (loves Morpurgo, Wilson, Pullman, Landy, Horowitz & Riddell). We also love Red House- this competition was made for us!
Thank you.

Hello – I’d love to enter, please! My daughter would love that! Also, maybe some of those guys can give me tips on writing my first children’s book (the hardest thing I’ve ever attempted for sure..!)
Thanks

Hi! (carefully read the instructions…)
Please enter me into the draw for the tickets. My sons and I are avid readers of all the authors mentioned above, and of course lots of others.
Would love to bring my son to inspire his story-writing.
Many thanks!
