What a lovely print from a favourite illustrator! I enjoyed reading your interview with Chris enormously, thanks for bringing his global blog tour to my computer. Now, to win the print would be the icing on the cake! Library Quine recently posted..Flannel Friday: It’s all in the lamination
Oh my golly! My 18 month old little lady would LOVE this prize. ‘A Bit Lost’ is her favourite book. We’ve only just got Oh no George!’ and already she says ‘dog’ on every page. Ooh my fingers are crossed..
What a coincidence, we covered and catalogued our new copy of this book today. It will be on display tomorrow and no doubt off on its first loan. The two of us sat gazing at each of George’s facial expressions and wondered just how Chris could get so much expression in what seem like deceptively simple illustrations. We have added it to our list of ‘favourites’ that we are keeping as a topic heading in the catalogue!
That is just THE most amazing illustration. I still haven’t actually come across Chris Haughton’s books in the library, but from what I’ve read of them I know I’m completely head-over-heels about them already (and I’m not normally known for my gymnastic skills). As a passionate believer in faitrade I particularly liked hearing about his fairtrade work in your interview with him – those rugs of his are stunning. Unfortunately though my budget doesn’t stretch beyond faitrade bananas, and you can’t put those on your floor. Elli recently posted..Trip-trap
Would love this! I have loved Chris Haughtons illustrations since I saw the poster he designed Books for Children. Gorgeous use of colour rachel slater recently posted..Just seen this! for budding writers aged 5-12
We LOVE Chris Haughton – we could spend hours poring over his books and talking about them. Both my boys love George and would be so excited to see this print hanging up. Fingers crossed!
We got our 19mo daughter A Bit Lost to cheer her up when she was poorly and she ADORES it. Endless cries to read “baby owl!” as well as “uh-oh!” echoing around the house. Can’t say we’re complaining – gorgeous book. Alex recently posted..On Pinterest and Pasta
I’m going to have to see if I have a copy of this book at my library; I wonder how many of the books are different from the UK to the US? Kat recently posted..Chicks and Salsa
Loving your blog after only finding a couple of weeks ago. You make every book sound like a must have and consequently I have ordered quite a few new books since I started reading your blog. Cute print too π
I love this book so much…I fully intend to call my son George so that I can say ‘Oh no, George!’ when he does something silly π Fingers crossed to win a print! Caroline recently posted..World Book Day
