I know that this week I wasn’t alone in wishing it wasn’t so long till this brilliant sounding series of book by Clara Vulliamy and Shirley Hughes gets published… but at least I’m able to get my fix of Clara-goodness before next year: I’m utterly delighted because Clara Vulliamy is here today at Playing by the book with two more mini-books to inspire children (young and old) to create their own stories!
This month’s theme, to go with yesterday’s book review round up, is music!
With a long list of recommended of music themed books, an inspirational round-up of music crafts (prepared by Maggy over at Red Ted Art) and today’s mini books, Clara and I really do hope you and your kids will be inspired to create some great stories together.
Once you’ve downloaded the book (it’s a pdf file), you’ll need to fold it using the instructions in this video:
With Clara’s prompts to get the creative juices flowing, you’ll then need somewhere to write and illustrate your stories. Click here for a blank mini book to fill with your very own music story!
Can you believe it? This is already the 4th set in our little series. Here are the rest to complete your library:
Clara and I wish you all very happy story telling! And of course, we’d really love to see your creations (and hear any bands or orchestras you create!)
