A giveaway: Pierre the Maze Detective STICKER BOOK

posted in: Giveaways, Hiro Kamigaki | 20

Pierre the Maze Detective: The Search for the Stolen Maze Stone written by Chihiro Maruyama, illustrated by by Hiro Kamigaki was one of the most eye-catching books of 2015. As I wrote at the time, it’s “a rich and rewarding rabbit hole ready for anyone who loves losing themselves in an adventure of almost unimaginable detail and scale.

Last year saw the publication of a colouring book version Pierre the Maze Detective and this year my kids and I have been having great fun with a sticker book version!

Pierre the Maze Detective: The Sticker Book contains more than 800 (!) stickers you can peel off from some of the wonderful scenes from the original book (including the garage and the marvellous museum), as well as ten further pages of individual stickers. New challenges have been created specifically for this book and as well as sticking the stickers in the book, you can of course always do your own thing with them… (Inspired by Let’s Explore, we’ve been using the stickers to write wacky stories).

Here’s one of the pages with individual stickers:

Here’s one of the full spreads where you can extract stickers from – lots of boats on this page are actually stickers.

I’m thrilled to have three copies of Pierre the Maze Detective: The Sticker Book to give away to lucky blog readers. To be in with a chance of winning a copy simply leave a comment on this blog post, saying hello, or perhaps sharing your favourite thing to do with stickers!

Hello – I would love this book for my nieces and nephews who are sticker-mad.

Also I am going to buy it for the primary school where I am a Governor and give it to the prize-winning Reception class teachers who can use it to inspire even-better story-writing.

My favourite thing to do with stickers is make greetings cards with them as it’s quick and easy and allows you to make something unique.

    Dear Zoe,
Our reading logs are quite simple this year, without graphics and in black & white. Seeing your post, I thought that the children could receive a sticker for each reading milestone that they choose to achieve. Although I’m not in the UK, and not eligible for the prize, your posts continue to inspire!

Beautiful and interesting looking book. As a teacher, my favourite thing to do with stickers is… shower my kids in them (metaphorically speaking).

Hello. I haven’t seen this series of books before. They’re beautiful. My 8 year old son Milo thought he’d ‘grown out of sticker books’ – I think this book would prove him wrong!

Oooh would love to be included please 🙂 Have also done a tweet. Looks fantastic. No child (or adult!) is ever too old for stickers!!

Hello! My little girl adores stickers. Unfortunately she likes sticking them inside her story books to add more characters to the story but never mind. We’re working on that by keeping a blank sheet in her books to stick on when she needs to x
