Looking for some new kidlit blogs to fall in love with?

| 4

A few weeks ago I wrote about Book Blogger Appreciation Week and the awards that form part of the lovely week long celebration of all things which come together when blogging about books. The long list for blogs in the Kidlit category has been announced, and whilst I know some of the blogs, I’ve discovered some that are new to me, and some that I really think are wonderful – definitely ones I’ll be reading regularly. So for your delight and delectation here is the long list:

  • Write For A Reader
  • There’s A Book
  • Playing by the book
  • Red Ted Art
    UPDATE: Correct link here
  • Teach Mentor Texts
  • Annie and Aunt: Family Thoughts on Reading with Kids
  • Milk & Cookies: Comfort Reading
  • Holocaust Resources
  • The Fourth Musketeer
  • From the Mixed-Up Files of Jennifer Bertman
  • The Book Maven’s Haven

  • Have fun exploring!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, commenting, and for your shout out on your own blog! It’s great to ‘meet’ you! I am really enjoying the networking that BBAW is bringing my way! So glad I decided to jump in!

        Hi Book Maven,
I really took to your blog – I couldn’t believe I didn’t know about it already! Looking forward to reading more from you soon.

The flower catchers turned out beautifully! I really love the flower illustrations in Margaret Wise Brown’s The Golden Egg Book. It’s illustrated by Leonard Weisgard and it has the prettiest flowers. I especially love the page with the iris on it.
