Win a bookcase!

It really feels like the season of good will is upon us already for today I have another amazing worldwide giveaway on Playing by the book – a chance to win a bookcase just perfect for your kids, generously offered by Tidy Books.

Tidy Books is a UK based company with a growing international presence who specialise in simple, beautiful storage products for families and children, especially those who love books. Today they are offering one lucky reader the chance to win one of their flagship items – a Tidy Book Bookcase.

A Tidy Book Bookcase!

As you’ll know already, children’s books often don’t fit easily onto regular bookcases – they’re often outsized and differently shaped. Also, kids love to choose what to read or listen to by looking at the covers of books, rather than at the spine.

The Tidy Book Bookcase addresses all these issues by enabling your children to store their books on their own dedicated bookcase where books face outwards, they don’t need to be packed tightly to prevent them falling over and tall books are no problem.

An added bonus of this bookcase (which retails at Β£109) is that it doesn’t take up much room – because books are shelved facing forwards, the unit is less than 10 cm deep enabling you to hang it behind doors, beside beds and in any place where a deeper bookcase wouldn’t fit.

To be in with a chance of winning one of these lovely bookcases all you need to do is visit the Tidy Books website and decide what colour and lettering you would like for the bookcase should you win, then return here and leave a comment with your bookcase preferences.

If you want extra chances to win a bookcase you can:

(1) Sign up for exclusive offers from Tidy Books by entering your email in the top right hand corner of their home page
(2) Become a follower of Tidy Books on Twitter, @tidybooks
(3) “Like” Tidy Books on Facebook
(4) Tweet about this giveaway, mention it on your blog, or link to it from your Facebook page

For any of the extra entries to count you must leave a separate comment here on this post saying what extra chance you’ve gone for (eg tweeted about the giveaway, become a follower of Tidy Books etc).

This giveaway:

  • is open worldwide
  • is open until 6am (UK time) 30th November 2010

  • The winner will be selected randomly with the help of random.org, and announced here on Playing by the book sometime during the day on 30th November. Good Luck!

We’ve got 7 young grandchildren and they all love books. At the moment they’re in a box and this bookcase would be fabulous in our spare room where we keep all their toys etc.
Natural wood and lower case letters would be lovely.

      Hi,
I’d love to win the book case for my 2 year old grandson, Logan. He and his parents don’t have a lot of space in their unit. This bookcase will look great and help him develop a love of books and reading. The natural wood with lower case letters will be perfect.
      Thankyou.

Oh, the book case is for my 3 year old granddaughter. And I follow your blog because I have started (am starting) a research-based education company that has many great childrens book ideas based around recent development research.

I kept coming back to this page so many times, but each time I closed it. Seems like I do not stand much chance. I don’t have either a twitter or facebook account- never felt the need for one. But I can blog about it.
I think I need this book-case most, as my books are now threatening to overflow out of the house. They are lying e verywhere they possibly can. In fact I gave away some clothes to charity to make space for books in the wardrobes. If I do get it, at least the books we are reading at the moment can be at hand. Maybe a Tidy-books case will help in keeping tidy our usually untidy books-to-read, and tide us over till I can make some more arrangements to tidy things up!

I have signed up for email alerts at tidy books. I would so love to get the natural wood finish bookcase with lower-case alphabets. As the panels are reversible, it will serve us well when A is older, too, when what she feels is adorable now becomes ‘too kiddish!’

Bookcase with natural wood finish and uppercase letters! Only dilemma: what to do with all that books that won’t fit on one bookshelf??? :o)

    16. jojoebi

The white one would be perfect for my son’s bedroom as we don’t have the space for another bookcase. Great idea to have the books facing out too.

    17. Amrita

      Hi,
Chanced upon this blog through another blog, and is an interesting blog.
This is a really good giveaway too – is it really worldwide? Coz I stay in India. If I do win I would like it in natural finish with letters (lowercase).

      regards,
      Amrita
