Crowdsourcing help required: creating a database of literacy/reading/book charities

posted in: 2. Illustrators and Authors | 0

Every year I published a list of literacy / reading / book charities and Not-for-Profits around the world. Last year’s list contained over 125 charities/Not-for-Profits and can be found here.

To make the list more user friendly, I’m in the process of creating a searchable database of all relevant charities/NfPs (so you can search by location, type of donations sought etc). This task, however, is rather a mammoth one, so I’m calling on everyone to help with 5 minutes of their time: If your favourite reading / literacy / charity is not listed below, please add it using THIS FORM. I’d be grateful if you could add as many details about the charity as possible, though I will of course double check all details before publishing the searchable database in late December 2012 / early January 2013.
